Nano Banana Pro is the larger model in Google's Gemini image family, sometimes called Gemini 3 Pro Image. On this page it runs in a locked workspace: you write a prompt, which is required, and may add up to six reference images for products, faces or layouts. You then choose 1K, 2K or 4K and an aspect ratio. Access starts on the Basic plan; 4K output needs the Pro plan. The model reads the text and the references together and returns one image to My Creations. It does not offer masks or brush selection, so to change part of an image you describe the change in the prompt and attach the original as a reference.

Both are Google image models with 1K to 4K output and reference images. Pro is the larger model and starts on the Basic plan, while Nano Banana 2 is open on the free tier. The best way to choose is to run your own prompt on both.
1K and 2K are available on any paid plan; 4K needs the Pro plan. Each render is one image at the size you choose.
